Good Morning,

This week I have been borrowing this beautiful macro lens from a friend, thanks Jared! This is the first time that I have ever used a macro lens and I must say, the ability to look at every day objects in the unique way created by extreme close-ups is rather addicting!

This picture was taken by placing my camera on the ground and then doing a lot of shoot and check as I wasn’t about to lay sprawled out on the ice cold sidewalk just to get a quick macro shot, I guess I must be starting to lose some of the fire of photographic passion. πŸ™‚

Enjoy!

  1. That is an awesome picture!

    I love the ice crystals.

  2. Nice capture of the frost; it would have been nice if I’d had a real macro lens rather than a diopter for some of my close-up photos.

  3. Awesome! I love closeups but never tried a macro lens!
Everyone always thought i was crazy for takin pics of little things but then I’d show em that it’s cool and i aint really mental πŸ™‚
Just recently got Bryan Petersons book ‘Understanding close-up photography’
Love it cuz he has good ideas for those of us without Macros and that we can still get good pics with what we got!
And i gotta agree that havin friends with good equipment is pretty grand!
