Good Morning,

Last night my sisters, Karen & Abigail, and my brother Ben and I took our grandmother out for supper for her birthday. We had a great time with her and were, as always, fascinated by her stories of her nurse’s training at the end of WWII and her early married life to our grandfather, who fought in WWII and Korea.

This is actually a quasi-HDR image made from a single RAW file to pull some more detail out of the shadows while preserving the chandelier’s highlights. This process frequently creates and over flat image so I then used masked curves layers to punch some contrast back in.

Enjoy!

P.S. If you are ever in Lancaster City the Ming Court Buffet is definitely worth it. 🙂
