Good Evening,

This evening while working on stacking firewood a storm began to quickly develop with a strong breeze pushing the heavy rack of clouds at a fast clip. Having been recently inspired by looking through a collection of stunning long exposure images I decided that I had to try my own hand at it. This was taken with a 67 second exposure and a polarizing filter and ND filter to cut down the amount of light entering the camera by about 3 full stops.

Not a whole lot of editing on this shot, primarily some contrast adjustments and selective saturation.

Enjoy!

  1. The light in the window, contrasted with the gray clouds, looks so warm and cozy!
