Good Evening,

This evening I decided to take my picture exactly how I wanted it in camera with only using manual exposure controls and picture styles. I am actually quite pleased with how this turned out even though the urge to edit this picture was almost too strong to control!

To get the lighting for this shot I put my Greek New Testament on our desk directly underneath of a fairly low power desk lamp with the room lights on to provide a small amount of fill. I used maximum sharpness, maximum contrast, and minimum saturation in picture styles to get this image.

Bonus points to whoever is the first to post which book of the Bible this is! (Sorry, no family members can compete.)

God Bless,
~Josiah

  1. 1 John? Out of curiosity, how fluent are you in Greek? My studies are progressing rather slowly. 🙂

I’ve been enjoying your photographs immensely, thank you for sharing them.

  2. The gospel according to John. Textus Receptus version. Published by the Trinitarian Bible Society.
The pages are a little too thin. In the white area one can see through the page.
