I want to thank you all again for following this blog through my 2010 photographic adventure, I trust my photographs provided you with a daily dose of new perspective on this beautiful life. That being said, the time has officially come for me to move onto a new venture which I trust you all will find quite enjoyable. So without further ado I present to you Six-Angles.com!

Six-Angles is the outworking of my desire to continue photo blogging on a regular schedule, howbeit at a less strenuous pace, while also maintaining the interest of a daily photo blog. Thus, I thought it would be interesting to create a single blog that would bring together six photographers, including myself, which would give our readers 6 different perspectives on life each week. I am very blessed to have good friends from across the United States who share my passion for photography and, most importantly, were gracious enough to join me in this venture. The plan is for each of us to create a single image each week which will be posted according to the following schedule:

Well here it is, the end has come for this amazing photographic journey. I started the year with a picture of shooting in the new year and decided to bring it to an end in the same way.

Wow, it has been quite the journey! I can honestly say that I had no real concept of just how challenging and rewarding a photo a day for a year challenge would be when I started a year ago today. This blog has forced me to be creative and push my own abilities in circumstances that were, at times, very challenging indeed. While it has been tough the rewards have been well worth the blood, sweat, and tears (literally at times) that went into creating the 300+ images on this blog. Throughout this last year of blogging my skills and scope as a photographer have greatly increased, though, I must say, once was enough for a very long time.

I want to personally thank all of my faithful viewers who made this blog a success, with over 51,000 views, almost 430 comments, and over 30 e-mail & RSS subscribers this blog has been far more successful then I had hoped, for which I am very grateful. It is not an exaggeration to say that your support kept this blog from disappearing under the weight of an increasingly busy life. As a special thank you I decided to hold a giveaway as a way of giving back to my faithful viewers who through their support made this blog happen.

Well here we have it folks, the next to last photo on this blog. One more picture to go, and the journey is complete. But don’t go anywhere just yet as I am hoping to make the last photo of this blog a memorable one and, in any event, I have a special surprise announcement for my final post.

On Wednesday left the house later then usual however, in this case, my later start was rewarded by seeing the full beauty of a winter sunrise. Overall this is a pretty straightforward picture without a whole lot of editing other then color correction and contrast enhancement.

On Monday we saw The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in 3D followed by a time of discussion and fellowship at a friend’s house. Overall I found the film to be very enjoyable as a fun adventure story with some interesting VFX and beautiful cinematography. Don’t go looking for a character drama, however, as there is hardly any real character development.

For a variety of reasons I didn’t quite get the picture I was planning on, however, Mrs. E. had just received this bouquet of fresh pink roses. Lighting is from the light over their kitchen table and the backdrop is provided by my black leather jacket.

Good Evening,

Ok, I know the last few posts have all included a computer monitor but what can I say? For those three days my life was pretty much defined by workin like mad to complete a CG project in time for my deadline Saturday night. Oh, in case you were wondering, my family and I do not celebrate Christmas so I wasn’t being sacrilegious or ignoring a holiday with the family.

One of my favorite parts about doing CG is when I get to use sculpting programs to add detail to my objects with the virtual equivalent of a a block of clay and a set of sculpting tools. In this case I am using a program called Mudbox, for the record, ZBrush is superior, however I had already used up my 30 day trial of ZBrush.

The foreground object is the Wacom Bamboo, a great, entry-level, tablet which makes sculpting far easier then with a mouse.
